This blog was inspired by my dual passions for vintage stereo equipment and finding a great deal.  There is no better deal out there today than equipment from the late 70s and early 80s, much of which puts modern, big-box store offerings to shame.  I’ve spent countless hours restoring and listening to vintage amps, and I hope that my insights will help others make informed decision when buying one.

I’m planning to expand this blog in the coming months to include posts about DIY audio projects.  I’ve built everything from a Raspberry Pi-based replacement for Squeezebox Touch to Nelson Pass-designed amps and preamps, and I have a lot of tips and tricks to share.  I’m hoping that my hard work in finding the best materials and tools can save others time and money.

Please reach out any time if you have questions or simply want to chat about your favorite vintage amp or DIY audio project.
